Question Yet another dog food question
I have finally found a small organic store in my area that sells innova Hooray Well, my question is .... Chloe is supposedly a "sheperd/lab mix (which I guess both are considered large breed dogs) Well, when we last went to the vet he said that she is probably (sp) going to be a medium sized dog... and I was wondering should I feed her the large breed puppy food or the regular puppy food or maybe the all life stages? I have seen on this forum many time that regular puppy food will cause large breeds to grow to fast and I dont want Chloe to have and joint problems.. I have went through hip dyplasia before and its sad I lost a dog to it...

Well, I am not sure and had this same question. Innova only packages Large Breed in the big bags. I have to put the bag of dog food on shelf in the laudry room and the big bags dont fit. So I have been buying the regular. Does it really matter? I have no idea.

from what I've read around the forum, I think the biggest concern for larger breed puppies is to stay away from regular "puppy" food.

Generally better to go with an all lifestages or a large breed puppy food.

That was basically my question because as I have said she is a supposedly mix of 2 large breed dogs but the vet said she would probally be a medium sized dog.. So I guess a all life stages would be better but I dont know

you're probably best doing the all-lifestages. it's the safest choice considering the circumstances.

main point is to stay away from the regular "puppy" formulas....

Definitely all lifestages! Tips is 45lbs and has been on it since he was 9 weeks, and he's doing great.

Feed her adult.

I asked my breeder the EXACT same question about Riot.. b/c hes borderline medium/large..

my breeder said that the ingredience in the adult are better for a growing puppy his size then the Lg Breed.
