Default Blue Heeler

Is it true the Blue Heelers like to sit on things? Our dog is always on a log on the bench or somewere off the ground. Also he drags a rug around the yard and sleeps on it with everything he owns in a circle whats up with that?

I have never heard of this to be a "trait" of the breed, but my heeler sounds the same way. He is always wanting to sleep on the couch or on the bed, and if he is snoozing outdoors he sleeps on the deck, or if he is lying in the shade on the ground he just HAS to sleep with his head on top of a toy. He will never put his face on the ground. Also when I play fetch with him I get him to "sit" before I throw the ball, but he will not sit on dirty ground, he will only sit or lie in a grassy area, never in dirt or mud.

Maybe they are just very clean dogs.

Yes my beagle always likes to sleep with her head on something.

She also has a tendency to sit on her stuffed moose or somebodys foot or leg.

My dog hates sitting on the floor or concrete. I either have to drag his bed around with me wherever I go in the house or he will find a rug or carpet and drag it in the room I am in. WEIRD!!!
