The Merlin thread

and general update Merlin is doing great.

-He is mostly house-trained (well, it's more of a management thing.. he KNOWS he is supposed to go outside and will hold it but you've gotta get him out within 1-2 minutes of him ringing the bell lol) but he does hold it in his crate

- He doesn't cry in his crate and sleeps like a rock. He takes naps throughout the day after walks/after meals.. lol I love that he is on my weird down time schedule and is ok with chilling out after walks and activity . He goes to bed around 9ish usually and sleeps til 9 AM, which is awesome lol

- He has started puppy classes! We are just working on basics (no lookie no cookie, no mugging the hand, release cues, handling exercises..) but so far he is at the top of his class! He works for anything..food, toys, praise, attention.. he is such a goober but so happy to work

- He is going in for his first grooming appointment tomorrow..tame the floof a bit lol but mostly get him used to grooming and such

- He is my constant little shadow (as always) but has become so much more outgoing.. he LOVES meeting people and dogs! Gosh, he loves going to the store and playing with all the dogs that come in. He has become quite the doggy social butterfly..

- It's almost laughable now that I was scared he wouldn't like me lol he makes me feel so special every day! He loves all people (especially kids) but always comes running back to me and saves his special cuddliness for me! Gah i love this little guy

- We are still working on his independence. He has issues being away from me/ me being out of sight.. but he is doing better.

- He goes through bully sticks like it's his job.

- He has taken to city life like a fish to water. He loves the train, the stores, all the people, he even loves playing fetch in our apartment hallway! lol

that's all I can think of for now!

Gaaaahhhh he is so perfect! I've never been a fan of red Merle or red noses but I am 100% converted! He is ADORABLE and cute and precious!

Yay, Merlin pictures! And I hope you take some more to share with us when he's done with his grooming experience.

I don't know if it's because he's a boy, or because he's a different colour, but I keep trying to find similarities looks wise between our two and there is like nothing haha. Well, maybe sort of here and there, but overall right now they don't look very sibling like (I don't think anyway). They definitely sound quite a bit alike though. :-)

And Toller, I totally know what you mean. You can tell they're both aussies but siblings? Lol not so much! haha Journey looks just like Sojo and I think Merlin really takes after Hustle
