OMG.....what to do???

I come home these last few days and Dixie refuses to go back w/ the puppies to nurse, but MAYBE two more times each evening. I get home at 3pm. Unless I make her, she will not! She is red and raw, and even spots of blood in some areas(small)I keep trimming nails, smoothing edges, etc, but these last couple of days, I got really confused.......................................... .................................................. .................................................. .........They have teeth! What do I do?????Isnt it too early for weaning?????

All I can say is try bottle feeding and call the vet.

Check those nails again !!! Isn't she with the pups full time ?? They need to nurse more often .... supply and demand.

She is with them 8 hours a day, when I get home she makes a run for it and I have to force her(Close her in) to feed again. Then about 11pm she goes back in for the night, comes out for an hour in the am again.

The milk looks to be good, Her boobs are still huge, I can see when they are empty, and when they fill up.
I am waiting for the vet to call back.

The nails are not half as bad as the teeth. They have actual teeth, and are like needles, and they tug and pull, "pitbull" those nipples when nursing. They are not nice at it at all.

Do I have mutant puppies???

Ugh poor girl. I hate to say that but I don't think you should ever breed her again if she acts that way Keep us posted on what the vet says.

The vet has said to buy a quality canned puppy food. Mix it with the milk supplement that I have and offer it to them. Offer it JUST BEFORE putting Dixie in with them, this way they MAY(hopefully)start on the food, but still have available Dixies milk. But if they eat some of the food, they will not be so aggressive and hungry at nursing time, and will be easier on Dixie, and not as demanding. All the while, still getting some of Dixies milk.
They said dry food is too advanced at this stage, beven mixed and soaked, I have always hated canned food, it always gave my dogs the runs, but they are young.

No more breeding, not for a few more years at least!!Man.........

My first puppy food was kibble which I ground up in a blender and mixed with water. But they were much older than your pups. I'd personally forget about breeding her again ....

my pups yank and pull on mom also. I watch her and say to myself..ow,and I complain about MY 5 month old! She is a seasoned pro, so she doesnt seemto mind to much. she is not raw though...

Hey, I ground up kibble and warm water tonite as the canned gave them the runs!!! They seemed to like it better, eating easier, and so far so good.

Ill let ya know. They are still nursing as well.
