Not sure with the dry food you'll be feeding but with mine, they eat twice as many cups as pounds of raw food per day. If that makes sense...

For instance, Boone eats a little over 3 lbs per day of raw. When he's on Orijen, he eats 6 cups/day.

I usually tell people to start on the lower end of the recommended amount. Then listen to what their dog's body condition is telling them they need.

My dogs have always eaten a lot more than what the bags say. They both need fat transplants.
