Could you please explain this a little more? I'm a little bit confused about what you're saying.

On my screen anyway, the right side of the main forums page has the number of views a thread has and next to it, the number of replies.
Say a thread has 4 replies, then the views will say 5. I've never been to a forum where everytime someone viewed a thread, they posted a reply. Just thought it was kinda weird. |

the forum doesnt even count views of posts, the count is just there for a cosmetic reasons, so somebody probobly felt it needed to be one more than posted.

This is my guess. The one that posted it viewed it one time. Then every other person that posts makes the veiw go up one and the posts go up one. lol

I know the exact answer.
One person creates a topic, and they view their topic after it is posted. That is 1 view, and one post. When other people look, they will look at it 2 times, before they post and after they post. |
