They are becoming more popular here and therefore the breeding does have to be watched ....

when i found cuddles i had no idea how much HE COST!!

bu once i held him and he looked up i paid it and u know what i would pay 5x what i paid for him. he is perfect not that the prices are right but hell 1,000 is 2 months car payments i will enjoy him his lifetime

and the free dogs are even better cause u can save a dogs life in process

The name makes it sound like it should be a bird...

It came with a 2 year heath garentee huh? I wonder what is covered in that health garentee? My lilly came from a pet store from a friend who bought her for me, as some of you already know. The garentee at that pet store was a lifetime disease warrenty, which only included parvo, hepititis, and distemper, 2 years against birth defects (might I add that my dog has a birth defect that only showed up till just now, she's 5, and it might need surgery) I don't even want to think of the other things she may have wrong with her that haven't showed up yet. She's still got atleast 10 more years to go. They also had 30 days medical coverage, and a first vet visit.

This is in response to everyone saying that the mix is overpriced: I don't really think that it is. Cavaliers are expensive and I don't know much about Cocker Spaniels, but maybe thats why that dog was more expensive. Nothing beats a pure Cavalier, though!

Cockalier? Omgosh, am I the only one who thinks that sounds like a pimp name?

Ok, going on memory here because I'm tired and don't feel like going on a fact checking google expedition. Back in the 40's there was a man (uhhhh, Mr. Whatsisname) who wanted to revive the old style King Charles Spaniel so he sent out a challenge, more or less. They took the snub-nosed King Charles Spaniel and bred them to, I think, Cocker Spaniels to get the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel we know today. Ok, so that's my version of the Cole's Notes version.

So wouldn't deliberately breeding a Cavalier and a Cocker Spaniel be taking the breed a step back?
