I've always loved George Carlin. I've only had the pleasure of seeing him on the comedy channel but loved his shows.
I always found it weird that before I knew who he was I watched him on a kids show that was on when I was little (Shining Time Station - he played "Mr. Conductor - the girl who played "Frenchie" in Grease was also in it). I loved him in the kids show and always found it weird that it was weird how he could play such a great character in a kids show and then have such "adult" oriented comedy shows. I guess it just goes to show how diverse he was as a person.

That's one of the things I liked so much about him Assamiea, that he had the intelligence to be able to translate himself so well to different groups.
