One thing I'd like to add, although it's probably not at the forefront of Lily's owner's mind right now, is that most vaccine companies will reimburse for the cost of treating parvovirus if a dog has been properly vaccinated. So once the important stuff of getting her well is behind them, they should pursue that or ask their vet to pursue it.

Let me know, also. I am a Vet Tech at an Emergency clinic less than 100 miles from Bakersfield. I have not seen this "new strain" or heard anything about it. I'd like to know if that is the case, we do have puppies due. Then again, in 18 years of being a Tech I have never once brought Parvo home to my puppies.
FWIW, I do vaccinate with NeoPar, though.
