Horrible news
Wesley's sister Lily has an aggressie strain of parvo. She was fully vaccinated and had recent titers. It seems the parvo outbreak at the ASCA Nationals is really a new strain, and vaccines aren't protecting against it. I decided not to take any dogs with me to California and forefit our entry fees. We are still going, but we are staying far away from the show.

Oh no, that's awful. I hope she'll be ok!
 I sort of caught something said about Parvo at the ASCA Nationals but hadn't heard very much about it. Just that people were angry and worried. Sounds really bad though!

Yikes, how scary!!! I am so sorry to hear that, but the most important thing is to keep your dogs safe. Hope you still enjoy yourself in California.

Honestly while this is bad news and discouraging, I think it's a bit soon to jump to conclusions about a new strain. No vaccine is 100% effective and with people's vaccination practices all over the board, herd immunity isn't what it used to be.

Oh no! I hope that she's better soon!
As someone who is always trying to be up to date on parvo, I'm curious if her recent titers showed immunity? My understanding is that there is cross immunity with Parvo, so even new strains should be protected against with current vaccines.

Holy smokes, glad you were able to get word early so as to not put your dogs at risk. So sorry for Wesley's sister, though.
