Cool little side note about this video - the women with the Border Collies and Brittany owns the place where we practice dock diving!
Otherwise, I have no idea what my dogs would do. Well, I can guess Lizzie would be upset just because she doesn't enjoy strangers to begin with. The rest? No idea.

I've done a bit of personal protection training with Judge. He has been tested both in the house and in the car. He is not a dog that barks when someone knocks, but he does rush the door. So, if someone came in my house unannounced and I was home, he would rush the door and do a hold and bark, if they pushed past, he would bite them. He proved this through training and also when an ex guy friend walked in my front door while I was in the shower, mind you guy had only met the dogs once and was told to call when he arrived. His fault. His use of force was completely appropriate for the situation.
In the car, he has never had a real encounter, thank god. He is a beast in the car. He is normally crated in the car for this reason. But when he does ride loose, he will guard it with his life. In training situations he has proven time and again that no one is getting in the car with him in it. LoLa, LoLa,LoLa....her temperament isn't what some would approve of for the APBT breed but she is a solid stable dog. She is friendly and sweet but she would protect me if the need arose. She is a horrible car guarder as well, as long as she doesn't know the person at all. If she has met them even once, then they can climb in the car and do whatever. At home, she rushes the door barking and growling. If I was in danger, she'd protect me but I highly doubt she'd ever protect the house. Hobie is getting softer in his old age but he would protect me with his life. I owe my life to him actually. I was in a very abusive relationship when I was younger, Hobie attacked my ex to stop him from hitting me allowing me to get to the phone to call for help. Some people wouldn't want their dogs to act like mine do in certain situations but I love them and appreciate each and every one of them. That said, Hobie is the only dog allowed free roam when I'm not home. He isn't a threat to anyone because he isn't a territorial dog. All 3 of them sleep loose in the house though, Judge and LoLa in my room and Hobie in the main part of the house. I figure if someone comes in at night uninvited they deserve to be bit.

Ziva would bark her head off, but greet if they came in.
Kestrel I'm not sure. DH surprised him one night when I was on the other side of the house and Kes did an admirable hold and bark after backing him into a corner. His body language was insecure/conflicted, but he held him in place and barked until I called him off. Aeri, again, not sure. Snipe would bark and bounce at them, happy to have visitors.

It is anyone's guess what Watson may do... he may either continue his nap if he was taking one, follow the intruder around politely and watch everything they do. He does not bark...but he might yodel if he is happy to see them. A basenji yodel is a rather off-putting sound if you do not know that it is motivated by pure happy
![]() Menchi would posture and bark until the person actually entered...then they become a visitor and visitors are fun. I can only hope that one overenthusiastic, bouncily greeting shar pei hitting the burglar like a ton of fawn bricks will make them fall and knock themselves unconscious.

Petie would bark and lunge he has pinned a few ppl up against the door when they came into a hotel room or our house uninvited. Push come to shove, I 'think' he would back it up with a bite.
Bobbi? lol he would escort them in and want to join them when they left. Hailey, nothing but would be offended if they didn't stop to say hi to her. Who, bark, then greet. Sprout would want to greet, then ignore them. |

, but she definitely is. And her behavior is exactly what I'd expect from my dogs, though mine would probably use different tricks. Most bull breeds would probably act like that. I have a friend who I know through the internet, and a few years ago, I was traveling through her state, so I went to meet her. She had to work at the time I was arriving, so she left the key under the mat for me, and when I got there, I let myself in, greeted her pit bull, put her in a crate, and brought my own dogs in.

Bodhi would bark and woo. But if they actually entered I think she'd just look.at them suspiciously. Fred is a wuss
he'd hide.

I don't believe Fleetwood would ever be brave enough to bite or use force against an intruder, and I would never expect him to. Twice I have had unfamiliar people (to him, anyway) walk in unannounced while I was in another room, and Fleetwood cornered them both and wouldn't let them through until I called him off. In one case, the person tried to walk past him and Fleetwood made it clear that he wasn't getting past...
Now, there are variables. If I was not there, he certainly would be waaaay less confident, and certainly end up following the guy around watching from a safe distance barking or trying to figure out a reasonable explanation for him being there, lol. Second, Fleetwood is sensitive to the type of person. If it is a friendly woman or kid, Fleetwood would take to them quickly. If its a raggedy guy that smells like booze and drugs, he's gonna have an issue.

Solo sounds and looks super mean but would totally keep his distance and bark. I tried an attack scenario once with my husband disguised in a field and Solo ran away like a chicken, lol.
I don't know what Pan would do. I'm pretty sure she would bite if she met them at the door, but if they persisted in coming in she might join ranks with Solo, just making noise while keeping some distance, maybe going in for nips.
