Do not feel bad about taking her temp.
Do it at the SAME time each day. I do recommend 3X a day at this point.

I have been doing it 3x day for 3 days, and it has stayed consistant. Kinda low in the am, mid day it has risen, and evening it goes down slightly. But today it is finally IN-consistant. It started at 99.6 and went down by 3:30.The dang temperature chart looks like a heartbeat!!! Still, her temp has stayed considerably lower then the "example" that was provided on the temp chart.It had an "average" bitches temp highlighted in yellow, and I did Dixies in black, and she has alwyas stayed below the "average" but I guess that's what you guess with an above "average" dog!!!
She also has a scab on her chest, it looks funny. Dont know where it came from. I wiped it off, and the "crust" came off, and applied alittle Happy Jack with a q-tip to it. She is indoor, clean, no fleas, it cant be ringworm can it???It IS a round area, I noticed it as a small bump the other day, and today it has gotten bigger, about the size of a dime,but the scab fell off. I was hoping it was nothing, because I didnt want to make 2 seperate trips to the vets!! But, I guess I will pry end up taking her tomorrow to look at that. Man, if it's not one thing it is another....Cant I get a break?? Lol

I'm still drumming my fingers !!! Mine usually started late evening . A bitch I bred my Bear to years ago started a midnight.... the owner called me at 1 AM and said when the 1st pup came , the Mom took one look and jumped out of the whelping pen. She was in tears, and I high tailed out for the 1/2 hr. drive. By the time I got there, Mommyhood kicked in and #2 was whelped. All was well .
