Default Do you like fruitcake?

It's one of those holiday items that they sell in every grocery store, but I've never met anyone who actually likes them or has bought one!

So... do you like the "standard" holiday fruitcake? Like this one:

I've never had it before, but it just doesn't look like something I'd enjoy! Give me a scoop or peppermint ice cream or a slice of pumpkin pie instead

Blech. No.

My mum will make fruitcakes though as gifts for her office people and she likes it.

I tried a fruitcake once...never again. I hate them. Or at least I hated the one I tried. LOL

I voted Pumpkin Pie, because I would much rather receive a Pumpkin Pie as a gift! Pumpkin Pie is AMAZING! ^^

I don't mind real fruitcakes...like actual pound cake-ish stuff with different fruit in it. But I am super picky about it. I definitely don't like pumpkin pie.

Store-bought is one of those traditions, I think. We just keep it around to laugh at every year.

I like home made versions - would never eat the store bought ones because they look fake/disgusting.

BLEHHH. My grandma is the only person I know who likes fruitcake.

I've never seen/had a homemade fruitcake, though. Is it real fruit, or is it still those weird jelly bits?

Fruitcake...is evil! Yuck!

However the European version of Christmas bread or Stollen is pretty good and I definitely like that

I love pumpkin pie!

My Oma made one that was sooo good. I'm planning on getting the recipe from my aunt soon because I kinda miss it. It used canned cherries and real dried fruit as far as I know, along with walnuts I think... I'll post the recipe here when I get it!
