Default Chinese vet

My dog Alex, the one with cancer (hemangiosarcoma), just went to the Chinese medicine vet the other day. The vet gave him acupuncture and then said that his Qi was a little low and he had blood stagnation (I have no idea what that means), so he gave us some herbal treatments, they are just pills, to give twice a day. He also told us what foods to give and not give. He said no chicken, salmon, and a couple of other things, but I can't remember what they are. He recommended turkey, beef, pork, veggies, and mushrooms. So hopefully this stuff will help. We currently switched Alex's evening canned food with Eagle Pack which is good, but I think my mom is still giving Pro Plan in the morning because they like it so much, ugh. At least we switched dry food to Natural Balance instead of Pro Plan. Alex is doing great right now though. He's gained weight and is almost completely recovered from when they took out his spleen. It'll be two months on February 14. I can't believe it's almost two months. Hopefully we'll have many more months together. Well anyway, I'll update on Alex if things change.

My fingers are crossed! I hope this recent stuff from your vet helps!

Blood stagnation is where the blood isn't moving enough and not bringing oxygen to the body parts it needs to. So I'm guessing the pills will make his blood pump faster.

I hope you have MANY more months with Alex!! Take care
