I love the eyes, I didn't even know there was something as follow-me eyes... I am going to have to find some of those! (Or did you make them yourself? Either way, hook me up! LOL) And as cool as the rest of it is, you had me sold at "shoulder puppet". I love puppets. LOVE! Again. WANT. I'm sorry that this is all over the place. lol

Thanks! I'm not sure if it's legal for me to make Toothless. There might be some copyright/trademark laws around that. There's tons of people on Etsy that make stuff with trademarked characters and I'm not sure if they get away with it because it's okay, or if it's because people just don't bother to go after them. I still haven't been able to find the answer to it but if anyone knows a copyright attorney who knows it'd be awesome.
I'll definitely post pics of his progress. I've got a couple more. One head is about the same stage. The others I'm waiting on more eyeball supplies. The eyes are hand made. It's an optical illusion so there aren't any moving parts. It took a long time to figure out the best materials/glues/resins/etc. for making them so they don't cloud over time or get air bubbles. I'm trying to build them out of archival quality stuff so that they'll last for decades and be really durable. The prototype has been kicked around by the kids for months now and is still in good working condition, lol. You're right on the copyright/trademark stuff, Romy. That's bitten quite a few people in the dollmaking world. It's just a matter of time, and Disney has historically been a company that has enforced their rights. Sometimes it just takes awhile to get to you.
