Grand First Day! Year of the Dog

I'm so ashamed of mine... I'm going to keep on practicing my sketching and I'll post a new different one for my new (and late ) drawing for Year of the Dog. Anyways... a couple months ago I little cartoon drawing in my sketch book, but lost it like a week after.

But when I was looking at my two drawings that I did a week ago, absolutely ashamed of them (when I was drawing it I thought it was good), I decided to go search for the sketch book. I found it... so here is my mediocre entry:

Richie why in the world would you not be proud!!!! did you see the blue dog thread i posted yours are very very good!!! as to time to treat..hehe i agree whole heartedly. In fact because i am not a parade of one (which really would have made me feel small) i am cooking my dogs their very own pep. pizza and they don't have to watch me eat 90 percent of it either..they will each get half. We are having a party here. Short of champagne..fancy clothes..a cool gallery and cheeeeeese..this is the best we can do. Thank you Richie from the bottom of my heart!!! i thought your drawings were excellent especially for your age. The one of coop with the ball is very good..perportions angles..all. my son won't let me hug me because he says it is creepy but a little typed one might be ok (((hugs))) and thanks again

How I remember the days when I was so much younger

I cry my body to sleep when we are apart

I grow older and watch you do the same,
Somedays it gets to where I don't recognize my name

You bear with me and doctor my declining health,
And remember the days I could fetch with such stealth

It's my last day now and you feel it in your gut,
Whoever thought this would hurt you so bad: losing a mutt...

I fade away into that glaring light,
You tuck me in and tell me goodnight

My eyes are closed again, But please do not fret,
For your love and care I shall not forget

I am at the bridge now and will wait until the day,
I see you again walking my way

I will escort you through the Pearly Gates where we will receive our new bodies,
Where for eternity, we will continue our camaraderie.

I love this picture. Does it not just make you automatically think of a dog that is having so much fun? It captures Precious when she is really being Precious. Her and her beloved stuffed hamburger. I know she looks kinda crazy, but that's my baby... She is crazy (in a good way.)
