iphone woes

So, I just got an Iphone after my old phone decided to die completely.

I tried to get phone numbers off backup assistant, and it only saved 42 of my numbers, mostly first names I don't even know who they are or like, ex ex ex ex bosses I would never speak to.

Can't import numbers from FB anymore, apparently (unless you can? does anyone know how to do this?)

Short of hunting everyone who's number I had down via email, FB, mutual friends, or going to their house...can I do anything about this?

Phone book is already on my list of things to buy

*scroll down until you see FB
*When you see "allow these Apps to you your account"
*contacts
*update all contacts

It is going to import EVERYONE on your FB who has listed their phone number, but you can save them onto your phone/iCloud and turn it back off. You can import to calendar too and it will list EVERYONES birthday into your calendar.

That didn't work...all it did was tie the contacts I already had to their facebook accounts, it didn't actually add anyone's number from FB.

I ended up telling Siri to do it, and that worked...

I spent like 4 hours trying to figure it out, downloading apps, and ended up having some really weird stuff happen (ie my phone trying to FB friend request every sketchy person who's number was in backup assistant, including my INSANE Russian Porn Producer neighbor and people with FB names like "Oscar P Ya Boy" and "Chanel 'Chocolate Dream' Smith" or something)

Then I went to Siri and was like "sync facebook to contacts" and that was all I had to do

Another thing to try is to go to your contacts, click on groups at the top left and make sure that the ones you want to see are the ones checked. I have multiple groups, but I only like to see one set of them.

I have all my contacts synced with my Google account so I can just download them all every time I get a new phone. I realize that doesn't help you now, but you may want to look into doing that for next time.

Has anyone has this prob ... I have an iPhone 4 but I updated IOS to 6 which makes is "basically" a 5, since then using safari & running my FB, IM & email have been really glitchy in certain places ... Like when I visit OH in the city ... It works better at my folks ranch out in th middle of no where then it does in town LMBO but I recently was able to update to "IOS 6.0.1" as it was called which was "supposed to" fix that... I have had to restart it twice :/

Anyone else with this problem?

No glitch problems (I updated my ipad to ios6) but I did find a way to go back to the 5 just because I like it better (and everything was jail broken and free that way lol)

There is a website/download somewheres on the interwebs.. just google and you can just go back to the old version.
