Best suggestions?
He has done pretty well keeping his everlasting treat ball intact. Seriously shocking because he is a SERIOUS chewer, I never dreamed it would last this long! The problem is, the treats aren't really ever lasting anymore, LOL I think it's gotten weak from use (he's had it at least 3-4 years) and he cleans the treats out way too FAST. I would like more of a mental challenge type toy, holds food, and I can give him and walk away. Supply links if you can, if not, a name will do.......I can google TIA

Tug a jug? It's hard plastic. Lucy figured out how to grab it by the rope and slam it down on the tile to break the plastic, so it's out in our house now
But it was awesome while it lasted. Get one with the rope instead of the rubber insert.http://www.amazon.com/PetSafe-Premie...ords=tug-a-jug (I got her the really small ones, to make it more challenging) There are also balls made of hard plastic that aren't really chewable. If he's determined to chew even non rubbery stuff it could crack, but if you got a big enough one that might solve the problem. http://www.amazon.com/Ourpets-DT-105...rds=treat+ball |

For 3-4 years use I'd be tempted to just buy him a new Everlasting toy lol.
Otherwise I like some of the kibble balls -- the kind you fill one end and they have to roll them around. Just get a big enough size that he can't get his mouth around it.

Kong Wobbler. It has survived my killer chewer, Arnold. Those everlasting toys died in 10 minutes with my not-so-serious chewers though so maybe it's a different type of chewer?

http://www.planetdog.com/ProductInfo...uctid=15010000 Fill with kibble or other small treats, for a "tough" chewer the only other one I'd recommend would be: ![]() Or the large size of this (although yes, all the colored decorations on it do come off with chewing): ![]() All of the orange is gone from the smaller one, the larger one was a limited edition size. ![]()

Tug-a-jug is good, it's one of the few I can use with Logan. But dogs get smart, so the longer they have a toy and the more often they use it, the faster they get food out of it. He's probably doing his current one so fast now because he knows how it works.

He has some planet dog toys, we like them
I have been back and forth about a tug a jug for a few years now, LOL.......I think I'm going to order one, read a bad review of someone's dog destroying it, then back out of buying. But I really would like to try one. Maybe I'll get him one for Christmas. For now, I just ordered a Kong Wobbler on Amazon. If they can stand up to Arnold, I'm sure Orson won't destroy it! LOL

The Wobbler has amazingly held up well with Skye. My only complaint is that it's so heavy and she gets frustrated with it so she picks it up, drops it, or wings it across the room. I'm afraid she's going to break something. She did manage to open it herself one time.
I have a Chews Your Cause toy..it's held up fine. I also have a Bionic stuffer, that holds up great but it isn't that great for stuffing. It's almost too easy to get the kibble out, and if I stuff it with peanut butter or cheese whiz she can't get it out and it gets yucky. Skye tore hers up, the first night! She's not a big dog either, she's like Vizsla size. She cracked the plastic so bad she made holes in it, and also made it impossible to open to put treats in.

I like the tug-a-jugs, although Dante (my lab mix) decided to just unscrew the bottom of the bottle and just dump the treats out instead...what a stinker! My four month old dal mix loves it though!
Kong wobblers are very nice too, although my favorite hands down are raw shank bones that I can just re-fill the center of and freeze. Keeps the pooches busy for soooo long! |

I like the tug a jug, although Juno has not had one since she was a wee pup.... no clue how it would go over nowadays. I do think the ones with the real rope seem more awesome than the rubber rope.
The Kong Wobbler is definitely durable BUT this is one that Juno likes to throw at the walls. So be cautious of that? lol but it serves its purpose, I just usually have to put some duct tape over the opening, otherwise too much food pours out at once. Otherwise I am super blanking out...
