Restored teeth and conformation shows

Okay, so we were discussing this when Logan had his dental, and I meant to ask back then but forgot. So I'm asking now

Are tooth restorations allowed in the conformation ring? Are some allowed but not others? When Logan had his dental we found a few teeth that could use restoring, but my boss had just come back from a dental seminar and hadn't received the restoration kits yet (they came in later that day, of course). I told him that was fine, since I wasn't sure if it was allowed in the ring or not. I don't remember all the different kinds, but one (he could use this for his canines from chewing on ****) was where there are slight defects in the enamel and you put some sort of glassy stuff over it, and the tooth eventually repairs itself. Another was something he could use for his lower incisors that are discolored and worn, but I don't remember what it was.

What about a dog with a root canal? I know one dog that has a metal crown...what about that?

This is all just out of curiosity, since we didn't do anything other than extract that stupid premolar.

Since conformation is supposed to be a contributing factor in breeding programs, I have to think that it's probably a good idea for any sort of restorations to be disclosed. If it's something that fixes an accident or anything that genetics don't have a bearing on, it should be fine and not factor in at all.

Anything that's done to fix an abnormality, though, should probably be a DQ.

I know that in certain breeder, broken teeth as a result of field work is not frowned up, however I think restoration for other reasons is considered a fault. Not sure how they can tell, though.
