Everything in green.

Yes, some are doing better than others. You know what? I don't think its the healthcare doing them in though. Its not like our dysfunctional system didn't cost enough.

I don't know. Maybe not turmoil but I wouldn't say there aren't any issues. I know a lot of people in ontario (family and friends) who drive over an hour to cross the border and buy there groceries and fill up with gas in the US. Even figuring in the gas money to make that drive they are still saving a bundle doing it that way. They just can't afford to pay the full price plus the sales tax back home

At least now they can go to a regular doctor and earlier where it won't cost as much.
this is why the founding fathers weren't huge fans of pure democracy. you're mistaken (unless MN has a law other states don't) the insurance companies do NOT pay for indigents' use of emergency facilities. that is paid for by tax dollars from a federal program. if your insurance company told you that they lied.

Yep, I think that is perfect for them.
why not they already built factories there that gave people jobs they didn't have and are now making more in a month than they made in a year.

yah, I'm not sure what they're driving, possibly huge trucks, cause it takes about an hour fifteen minutes to get to the border crossing from here, and it definitely is not cheaper to -- we used to go weekly. Not any more. Also, they must be eating all junk food, cause we don't pay tax on groceries.

Honestly I just took it as...we're already paying for it. That was the main point.

what do you mean huge trucks? Wouldn't that be more expensive to drive? They fill up with gas while in the US which is a big savings itself. (also they are in London Ontario)

No... Not junk food. It isn't just about the tax, the COST of those foods is more expensive back home. Trust me, it is all I ever hear about whenever my dad comes to visit. Sometimes I think he just cones to visit to shop and save money

Anyway, at the end of the day I am just saying that we have so many here just barely hanging on... Higher taxes and more expensive goods will ruin them

Well then, let's call it "health care providers raise their prices to cover costs and then my premiums go up in response." Either way, ultimately I'm paying for it and have been all along, regardless of how precise my previous wording was.

Healthcare providers raise their prices because they have a large pool of cash from which to draw from. Insurance companies raise their prices because people will pay a **** load of money for the illusion of "health" and they have to keep the ceo's and investors happy. It's never ending cycle. They have nice scapegoats like those that don't pay and my favorite, malpractice, but most of that is easy fodder because the masses eat it up.

Healthcare costs so much mostly because insurance is available in the first place.
