Oh, you don't have to leave it in the freezer before you use it. It's just a way to preserve it. So, like if you make a bunch, that day you could keep one out, keep it in the fridge. And freeze the rest in little containers. Then take one out in a week or so when you run out. You still use pectin to thicken it. So, the freezer is only for preserving it for quite a long time.

Just to let you know Breeze. If you are making this for Christmas presents. DO.NOT.LET. the kids try it. You will end up with None for the Christmas presents. LOL And your kids will never want to eat store bought jam/jelly again. Just speaking from personal experience.

This. We had homemade jam and jelly growing up and I flat out refuse to eat store bought - even though my mom didn't make any for a 7 year gap. She has been for the last couple years and I'm getting ready to try a batch on my own. There is absolutely no contest, homemade stuff is amazing.

I have one tiny jar of home-made pomegranate jelly in my fridge from my mom and it's incredible. <3
