Oh, you don't have to leave it in the freezer before you use it. It's just a way to preserve it. So, like if you make a bunch, that day you could keep one out, keep it in the fridge. And freeze the rest in little containers. Then take one out in a week or so when you run out. You still use pectin to thicken it. So, the freezer is only for preserving it for quite a long time.

Just to let you know Breeze. If you are making this for Christmas presents. DO.NOT.LET. the kids try it. You will end up with None for the Christmas presents. LOL And your kids will never want to eat store bought jam/jelly again. Just speaking from personal experience.
