Help with science fiction paper
For my sociology class we watch sci fi films then evaluate their sociological aspects. For our final paper we need to pick some sociological element and explore it in sci fi films. I've decided to look at the portrayal of law enforcement. Unfortunately I am having trouble finding movies to use for the paper and was hoping you all might be able to help. The films do not need to be strictly about police or other law enforcement agencies, though they can be. But they could also just pop up a few times in the movie, enough for the veiwer to form an opinion about law enforcement in that society. We have watched a few in class that I could use, but I'd like some others as well.
Ones I saw in class and could use are The Day the Earth Stood Still Fahrenheit 451 Soylent Green Handmaid's Tale The portrayal can be either positive or negative. It must be a movie, no TV, books, comics, etc.

Time Bandits has some law enforcement elements. Blade Runner, I think Fifth Element does too. Jodie Dredd. Look on TVTropes, its a really common theme in classic sci-fi.
