Default Melted hot plastic on my finger.. ouch!!

So my friend came over today with her little boy who's 5. I had a candle burning on the a side table and the boy decides to put his Hot Wheel car that has a piece of plastic attached to it in the flame. So I grab it saying how cool the flame looked on the little car and a piece of plastic melts off and drips on my finger. Now I have a clear thin piece of plastic melted to my skin on my finger. Picking it off does no good. Any idea as to how to get the stuff off?

First thing I have to say is eeeooowwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!! I did that with a hot glue gun a while back....nothing worse then something hot and sticky on your skin. I'm really not sure what to tell you. You'll probably have to wait until you can pick it off of your skin. Ouch!!! Good luck!

I've done that. Not the plastic on the finger part but hte other part.

When I was 6 I had accidentally set my lamp's bulb down on a hotwheel car not knowing it. This was also my first experiment with conduction heat and it burned my hand.

But it made me wonder if I could burn the windshield part that was made of plastic. And it did eventually catch on fire and the rest of the interior of the car (also made of plastic) caught on fire and set off the smoke alarm and I ultimately got grounded.

But it was indeed fun.

*chuckles* what a great thing to read as I plan on painting shrinki-dinks and shrinking them tonight.

I am not sure what suggestion to give you either... do you have a 24 call-a-nurse phone line you can call to ask?

The same thing happened to me a long time ago. I just let it dry on my skin after awhile until it eventually came off on its own.
