Neither of my nursers easily took to spout cups that had to be tilted. We used straw cups and they worked well. I think I picked that suggestion up off of kellymom. The Nuby ones with handles were both of my kids first cups.

Who else on here is expecting?

I'm 13w4d and I'm having my gender scan on the 11th- I can't wait to find out whether or not it's a boy or a girl!

Congrats, Jessie!! I'm so happy for you!

Lillian started to pull herself to stand on the furniture (well, what little she can reach!) last night.

Yay congrats Jessie!! How have you been feeling?

Mm- that's exciting! Clarissa has been doing that for a few weeks now too. Definitely gotta keep a close eye on them.

Gabe has a cold. It sucks seeing him so sick. Infant Vick's Vapo-rub and a humidifier is helping, but he mostly just wants to sleep on me.

Before it progressed, runny nose on our Sunday hike:

Any advice on car tripping with an infant?

We're driving about 4 hours to AC this weekend. Lillian's been on four three hour flights, but it's a bit easier with no car seat involved.

Is it ok to feed her solids in the car seat? Food is one thing that keeps her very entertained. (Obviously I'd be sitting back with her supervising). She'll sleep part of it, and I'll bring some toys/books, but I think letting her have some green beans or something on the road will keep her occupied.
