I gave over wardrobe control to Hannah at an early age because it wasn't worth the headache. her rules were 1) it has to be weather appropriate and 2) you can't mix and match shoes and 3) if you want to wear a dress you MUST wear shorts or pants underneath until you learn to stop lifting it and stop rolling around on the ground in dresses lol. Otherwise... have at it. it actually worked out nicely because it gave her a sense that she had control over SOMETHING in her life but we definitely went out in some weird outfits lol. Like a camoflauge hat, a tie die shirt, pink tutu and red cowgirl boots lol.

She looks pretty interesting today. Lol
Our biggest problem is that she really wants to wear things that just don't fit any more, she dogs them out of boxes wet have stashed in her closet and then flips out when we try to put the stuff back... off she pulls things out of the dirty clothes. Ugh.

LOL Oh we had a few of those moments. There was this one summer dress that Hannah just would not let go of and she wore that thing until it was more like a shirt then a dress lol. I finally got rid of it one day when she wasn't looking and she forgot all about it until she looked through a photo book and said "Mom, where is this dress?" and I had to break the news that I had to get rid of it and she CRIIIIIEEEEEDDDDDDD her eyes out lol.

Clive is pretty oblivious to his clothes most days. But we certainly have days where only the Superman shirt or a Thomas the Train shirt will do. I bought him a set of Thomas socks that have different characters. So there have been a few days where he's headed off to daycare with one James and one Percy sock will do...because that way he has one of each, lol.

Here's a stupid question:

Where the heck do you change a baby on a plane??? Last time we flew she was tiny enough to change right on my lap. Do I just pop down the pad in the aisle or what?

Hannah is off for a sleepover with her grammy and granddad. So weird. She has slept over with them only two other times in her life so this is the third time EVER that she has been away from home overnight. Again... So weird!!!!

She is super excited and i am not at all worried... It is just weird not having her in her bed lol. As they were leaving I got the brush off. "Yeah mom, I will miss you. BYE"

Aw sparks, that's cute but yes...weird. Today I left Lillian with her other grandma and got home from my mani/pedi and errands and realized I'd never been home without her...so odd.

Huge success today. For the past two weeks I have been working on teaching him where his laundry basket is and that his dirty clothes go in it. For 3 days in a row now I will ask him, after changing into his clean outfit, where his dirty stinky clothes go. He will crawl all by himself over to his laundry basket now and wait for me to pick him up. Then I give him his clothes and he drops them in. A couple of weeks of this and we will move onto toys.

We all got together for his mom's birthday this afternoon. We gave her a book titled "I love you, Grandma" as her gift.

I'd say it went pretty well

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lj3vhqVYwZo

His grandmother was almost in tears, and kept repeating, "I'm going to be a GG!" It was pretty darn cute. The funniest thing is how everyone said, "Thank you!" to us. Um, you're welcome? I feel like I should be getting a charitable donation receipt or community service hours if it's such a gift to people

It went a lot better than telling my parents, who are a little less thrilled. (I asked my dad if he wanted to be a grandfather, and his words were, "Do I have a choice?" ) I'm glad we saved DH's family for last--it was actually almost fun instead of stressful to share the news today.
