I have been browsing breeders for years now, just to get a feel of what's out there when the time is right for me to get a puppy. This is a breeder that is relatively close to me (one state over) and I really like them and their dogs. I'm still pretty inexperienced at looking for breeders, so I'd like other opinions as well!

I have never met a dog from Sequoyah (which makes sense considering the distance) but here is a thread on the German Shepherd forum that several Sequoyah dog owners posted on:
http://www.germanshepherds.com/forum...shepherds.html If you're looking in TN, here is another breeder worth talking to. Sue and Gabor are very knowledgeably and easy to talk to. They really know their working dogs - I would get a puppy from some of their litters in a heartbeat. http://www.k9imports.com/ The best thing to do is to talk to the breeders and meet the dogs for yourself, and get an understanding for how they are as working dogs and family companion dogs. What are you looking for in a dog?

both breeders sequoyah and Sue & Gabor are people I would have NO problem buying a dog from.

I now Sue and Gabor personally and am currently handling one of their dogs. Lovely people, amazing dogs.
I have heard marvelous things about Sequoyah but do not know any dogs personally. I did have a random lady at Panera the other day stop to ask me about tracking (I was in my work gear) and she had a dog from there and was absolutely thrilled.
