I actually like spiders, but not so much in my bed. The good news is that wolf spiders often eat other species of spider, so he or she was likely helping reduce your arachnid population. We have a ton of spiders in the house, Sally has actually taken to hunting and eating them. I can't stand centipedes and roaches though *shudders*
