Rollerblading

Anyone do it?

I used to LOOOVEEE rollerblading as a kiddo. Like I was obsessed. I grew up on a street full of kids, and so I was always out playing street hockey, or just rollerblading in general (I was also a big tomboy! lol).

Anyways, I really haven't actually rollerbladed in years. Occasionally I goof around and put on my dads (which are too big for me) and go up and down the driveway with Jackson in tow... I still got it (sort of haha).

But I was considering buying a pair that actually fit me and finding somewhere that I'm able to use them w/ Jackson, but wouldn't wanna really do it in a highly populated area hahaha. I just did not know if anyone actually rollerbladed anymore.

What are the best brands?

I do! Basically, it really is a case of you get what you pay for. I got rollerblades for Christmas 2 years ago... and they were definitely not cheap. I can't remember off hand what brand they were, but really, I had to have them customised anyway due to feet issues to make it safe.

Didn't get out much this summer because it was way too hot. Been taking them out more recently though now that its cooler out

I do. Never got to this summer. I blade only with Cider. She will not run with me, can't get her out of a fast walk, unless I blade with her. I went to sportcheck and got their name brand. Had them like 7 years still kicking. I don't let Cider pull me. I have a leash never looped around my wrist so I can drop her if needed.

I have a really nice pair I bought at a skater haven in Knoxville -- haven't used them in awhile.

I like my K2's a lot. Rollerblade is a good brand too, but I hated how the whole boot came out....I didn't feel like my foot was ever really secure.

I suck at rollerblading, but I do skateboard. It's a stupid idea when skateboarding, but I love being barefoot. That might be why I was never fond of rollerblades, lol.
