Both of our dogs would have bitten him a lot sooner.

I don't think that makes them a danger to society.

I know people with KIDS who would have bitten him sooner, lol.

And I wouldn't blame them either.

My dog just happens to be a really good dog..? I'm hoping/praying that she stays that way. I'm hoping- that I will never have to make that choice. If I do then such is life. I have other things that take precedence.
If I didn't have a family would I think differently? Maybe....
I do hope for your sake you never face such an issue, truly.

“Life is life - whether in a cat, or dog or man. There is no difference there between a cat or a man. The idea of difference is a human conception for man's own advantage.”

This doesn't mean, to me, that we are not our dogs keepers and should not hold them to a certain level of expectations but to casually brush off the ease of killing a life, no matter the species is either a sign if inexperience or something seriously wrong.

This is something you really don't seem to be getting. At all. That dog did not "attack" because it was resource guarding.... The dog bit Cesar and they weren't even remotely close to the bowl, for Christ's sake. The dog bit because Cesar was attacking and threatening it. If he did that to one of my dogs, he could expect a bite from them as well.

I liked rubygirl better when she was lovejc and told us we were all bleeding heart pathetic clicker using man bite lovers that waste our time on dogs like these, so effectively the dog should be shot.

Ruby, I believe that if a dog attacks a human unprovoked and can not be rehabilitated that it should be put to sleep. I am from the "pit bull frame of mind". But this dog was provoked in her biting of Cesar and CAN be rehabilitated. Simple as that.
