Only, two this time, and they aren't about what a demon dog he is, so we're making progress, right?
1) Since losing Argon, our family now consists of me, the cat, and Shiva, the foster pup. Shiva is going to her new home in three weeks. Gambit has never been an only dog. Beyond that, he has never spent more then a few hours not in the company of a family dog. At the rescue, he lived with his three brothers until he was 8 months old, then I took him home to Argon. I have concerns about how he will do as an only child. Is there anything I can do to help him prepare? And for those naughty Chazzers who are going to suggest it, no new puppy! Even if my arms are aching to hold a puppy of my own, and not just a a foster one 2) His ears, which have always kind of flopped sideways, are trying to stand up over the past week or so. However, he's over two years old. Is there any chance of them standing, or would taping them do anything? I thought that once they picked their way to go, you couldn't do much about it, but darn if one wasn't standing for quite a while yesterday.

If you don't want another dog to add to the family, I would make sure Gambit gets lots of play time with you & some extra attention. If he's not already, I bet he will become good friends with your cat. It takes time for everyone to adjust losing a member of the family.
