Borzoi! They are not a good fit for me right now as I would really prefer an off-leash trustworthy dog (and they're a bit on the big side for me) but I think they are soooo stunning. I just want to walk one around town in a nice dress and heels and show off.

There's lots of breeds I'd like to borrow first. Just to see if they truly are compatible with me. That's my fear with getting another breed... that they'll come live with me and I'll be like "oh crap what did I do?!?" lol... so yeah if I could borrow each breed I'm interested in for a week or two, that'd be awesome.
That list would probably consist of Border Terriers, Border Collie's, English Shepherds, Papillions... and heck even throw a Chihuahua in there. Oh and an English Mastiff or Dogue De Bordadeux because someday I swear I want one. But it'll be a LONG way away. Aussie and Golden too I'd certainly borrow.

The problem with most of the breeds listed here are that I know they would fit me too well and then it wouldn't be borrowing anymore it would be sneaking out of the country with puppy in my suitcase so I don't have to give him/her back :P
Then again I'm also borrowing a superfun puppy as I type so...yeah. I guess I should say I would borrow a FCR since I am, in fact, borrowing an FCR. But really I would probably borrow something giant and fluffy. Probably a Great Pyrenees because I adore them after more or less raising one many years ago. I don't want a Great Pyrenees and they would be pretty phenomenally unsuited for me but I could totally borrow one for a few days and just bury my hands in that thick endless mass of white floofiness lol. And then give him back before shedding season or I run out of dog food :P

Probably some kind of herding breed, to test whether my lifelong theory that they aren't the right fit for me is true or not. Since the whole "oh I don't like huskies" thing turned out to be a lie.

Most of the breeds I'd want to borrow are breeds I'm interested in owning and would like to test drive first. German Shepherds, English Shepherds, both Cardigan & Pembroke Welsh Corgis, numerous others...
As far as just borrowing, I'd love to have a nice little mini poodle around for a week or two. I miss my old dog (poodle x, we think maybe cocker) and it'd be nice to have that energy back in the house for a bit.
