So we finally got a good run of trials scheduled...agility is crazy popular here and even getting into trials is competitive...not to mention the trials themselves! But we had a string of luck and managed to get into trials 3 weekends in a row which is unprecedented for us!

So what happens? Mira goes into heat on Friday. A couple weeks earlier than expected. Had to pull from all three trials.

And to make matters better...if this last interval is consistent...then her next heat should start smack-dab in the middle of next year's national specialty for the breed. Which we were planning to attend.

Grr! Argh!

Ugh!! Seriously, that's super annoying!

I know what you mean about difficulties getting into trials. During the summer it's not bad because we have multiple venues with 2 or 3 rings but during the winter it's awful. You have to send your volunteer form before the trial opens in order to get in here otherwise you are never drawn at the random draw. Oh and if you don't volunteer? Good luck, you may get in one day!
