I may end up with most of today and tomorrow to myself, and I'm actually quite pleased about it. We did Christmas with my family yesterday, while my husband ran into work for a bit this morning I went to town on the house and got it seriously cleaned, and tomorrow he may go visit some of his aunts and uncles so who knows what I'll get done. Nice, quiet, no expectations... aaaaahhhhh.

My nephew thinks I am the coolest person on the planet, because I got him a Slinky for his birthday today
Lol he carried it around with him all day. I am thoroughly enjoying watching A Christmas Story for a 2nd time tonight. And my TV will be tuned in to it allllllll night. And all day tomorrow. <3 Our Christmas morning tradition is prepared and sitting on the counter to rise overnight - caramel pull apart rolls. Nom nom nom! My dogs are such troopers even though they were left alone a long time yesterday, and all day today. They are not used to that but they did awesome and just chewed on their chewies. I picked out one of my Christmas presents while we were at the mall this morning. A Pandora bracelet with a puppy charm to get me started  Of course, when we got home I wrapped it and stuck a tag on it that says it's from Santa Claus. See, when it's Christmas it's impossible to have anything but good news...

Ryan and I are treating Ryan's parents and g-rents to a night at the most amazing bed and breakfast as our Christmas present to them.
I used my very very basic PS skills and made this to put in their Christmas cards. I'm more proud than I should be.  Sacred Clay by laurenscoombs, on Flickr Also it is larger and more legible IRL!

Got dumped lol well not really but we did end things and while you are probably wondering why this is in the good news thread.. I guess the way it happened is good news.
It was mature and pretty mutual..there was no drama or shouting or ridiculousness. He went away for Christmas and I stayed here (we both had really fun christmases anyway) but I called him that night and we talked... and we were just talking about school and how busy we are and how hectic it's been.. he's in med school, I'm pre-law, it's a tough balancing act with studies and work and friends.. And we both kind of came to the conclusion to end things.. By the end we were laughing and he was like "This is the most pleasant breakup I've ever experienced. You know I love you right? I mean, not in like a ride away into the sunset together let's drop school and get married way.. but in a you're pretty awesome but very distracting but my life was exponentially better because you were in it kind of way. You are the kind of girl that deserves someones full attention, and I want to give it to you so bad it hurts not to. Med school is just kind of a demanding evil loveless bitch"  I dunno.. I just feel like that relationship is over but not in an awful mean way.. it just feels like a new chapter. Which kind of is exciting and good news. I love being a girlfriend.. but it's also nice to be able to focus on me and school and Merlin for a while I've missed having free time really

Dameon's passing was hard...and I still am not 100%. But having family, friends, and coworkers understand exactly what you're going through and offer all of their support...that really makes a difference and I am so happy to have them all in my life.
