Four years...

...(and a few days) since I got the two little ferrets that started it all.





Then I lost one of my little loves just over a year later, far too soon...



but I still have my little princess Porom, who brings me joy every day. So dainty, yet fierce. Takes everything in stride, except nail trims. She's four this year and that makes me sad - she's past the middle age line, she's more prone to illness than ever before. She gets a little extra duck soup these days for good measure.

I love my little girl and hope to have several more good years with her. <3

With Dameon aging, it really hit me the other day how much I'm going to miss having ferrets around. And although I swore up and down I wasn't going to get another...I may or may not be adding a 4 year old sable boy soon, as his retirement home and a buddy for Dameon in his senior years. I just have to decide if another ferret would help perk Dameon up and get him out of the slump he's been in or hurt him as he'll try to overdue himself when he shouldn't be.
