Been sick twice today. Bah. I keep waiting for my body to handle the metformin better.

Boo. I just restarted metformin 2 weeks ago. The first time (2+ years ago) I had no side effects when I started. This time...oh boy. It's mostly better now, but it was pretty rough for a while. Last time I started it also killed my carb cravings, and his time I want to eat ALL THE CUPCAKES!

ugh, you're on met too? I swear, my days consist of neverending drowsiness, my nights consist of neverending puking. I hate it.

Sorry guys. =< I didn't actually know met made people sick until just recently. It seems like a lot of people I know online have started taking it and just about everybody is having a rough time adjusting.

I think the symptoms for me are starting to even out and go away, but the fatigue is constant. Nausea comes and goes based on what I eat. If I DO NOT drink a can of coke in the morning, I have zero appetite the rest of the day.

I'm on 1500mg.

I will say though... thank god for no diarrhea. Have not had that issue, knock on wood.

Make that four bouts of random sickness this afternoon. I swear my coworkers must think I'm just skipping in the bathroom for grins.

Glad to have some commiseration though. Not glad y'all are sick though. Mine is some nausea though that is better now that in taking it with breakfast and not dinner. Diarrhea though.... It's awful. (Tmi I know). And it's like must go or else really really bad **** happens. Thy switched me to glumetza which is supposed to be nicer to me but so far is not.

Funny you say that sizzle. I have to drink a carbonated drink first thing right now.

I'm on week 4 now. Losing weight but probably just because I'm getting no nutrients from my meals absorbed.

Today was my first day taking spiro though too so I wonder if some of my severity of sickness today is because of the spiro.

Wow, sounds like all the lovely side effects of pregnancy too (though switch out diarrhea for constipation).

Sorry you're all suffering

Poor Rick had whatever I had last week. We're thinking food poisoning from McDonald's on both counts. He's thrown up at least 30 times today. Feeling a bit better now, though, thankfully.

Exam tomorrow and exam Wednesday .. and had Thanksgiving festivities all weekend so I didn't get as much studying in as I should have. Back to hitting the books.
