Gavroche likes it as long as he doesn't need an exam or a finger up his butt. But just being there, yeah. I work there, so he likes when he gets to go to work with me

Logan loves everybody, everything and everywhere, so yeah. He doesn't even mind exams.

Heh.

Frodo needs to be muzzled while I use copious amounts of squeeze cheese to keep him quiet/still. He needs to be sedated if they want to get anywhere near the pointy end.

Kharma is all "I am here. You may now worship me." They do.

Bimmer's his usual charming self

Tallulah -- as long as she's not separated from me -- is thrilled to see everyone, and one thing I really like about my vet's office is they LOVE pitbull types, especially APBTs. They think Tallulah is perfection. Oh, and she talks . . . incessantly. And LOUDLY. And they still love her

King likes going in, and doesn't get too rattled even when being poked when they draw blood. He really liked one of the vets and one of the assistants, but both are gone now. He likes the new doctor well enough, but I notice he doesn't look too happy when she checks him over when we go for his Cushing's checkups. He loved getting the same from the old vet, who retired after having a baby, at least temporarily. Molly is another thing entirely. I wouldn't be shocked if she keels over dead someday, as she is a mess before we even go into the office. By the time we get into the exam room, she's a mess, panting heavily, lips and eye rims are cherry red, and she's shaking like a leaf. By the time the doc comes in her pulse cannot be felt because it's so fast, and she is gulping and panting to the point I don't know how she gets enough air to keep from passing out. After say 15 minutes in the office, she gets home and passes out for a couple of hours at least. She's totally wiped out. She's the most stressed out dog I've ever seen at the vet that doesn't get nasty about it. She just looks and is, miserable.

Fozzie is really great at the Vet, because he's a flagrant attention hore! Everyone there loves him and says he's the best patient... they call him Corgisaurus.

Gonzo is actually really good at the Vet, even though I haven't gone out of my way to condition him to it. He pants a little and sheds more, but he's cooperative and friendly and never growls. Being that he's normally not a fan of strangers, I think he truly understands that they are there to help him. He seems to be very in tune with people's intentions.

LOL! I do this to every dog that I groom... luckily they forgive me. They seem to understand that I don't enjoy it either.

My dogs have never minded it, I've always worked for their vets... Liz & Rage are the most conditioned because I take them to hang out/practice my jug draws (haha!). mostly they lay around and get treats. I'm pretty sure Daisy will hate the place after her non-anesthetic dental in two weeks.

All three of mine love it. Although, we've moved now so I don't know what they'll think of any new place I hate vet shopping.

Anyway, my old vet fridges little tubes of peanut butter so they're hard but not impossible to lick. Then I stack my dogs, they do the exam while licking the PB and get shots (Eden is the only one that notices and she's the sweetest so no issue) and then we do 2o2o on the scale/get weighed and that's that. That's the routine - mine 100% think they are there for 2o2o training and stacking training and then a quick pet. LOL

He was great for his blooddraw though! Not a peep from him and he was very cooperative while someone worked RIGHT UNDER the pointy thing, unmuzzled!

I think that, looking back, I could have done a lot of things differently to get Jackson to like the vet. Unfortunately, on our first visit (with me) at 12 weeks old, he had a horrible terrible reaction to a shot, and he also yelped extremely loud when they were giving it to him, and they were just very "rough" with him -- didn't really take their time, etc. Looking back, I'm so mad at myself that I did not really do any vet shopping, trying to find the right one FIRST... because that very first incident kind of ruined him from vets.
