And that can definitely get confusing.

No pedigree. My pit bull is a product of a BYB. Which is surprising because she has near perfect conformation. I wish I had a ped on her.
Then if she has no ped, why are you calling her an APBT? She according to everyone is a mutt and should be called a mix. Because you cannot provided the pedigree to prove she's an actual APBT.

The first one doesn't have a decent picture of the dog where you can reference size but the second definitely looks like a bully type dog to me. It's quite big. It's certainly not an APBT or AmStaff.

I'm sure you could, but you're obviously missing the entire point. I don't think any one of us said that APBT's that attack/bite people don't exist. And I gave my reasoning for why this happens. Bad breeding and instability. I'm not sure what point you are trying to make. Are you trying to say that they are human aggressive by nature? Or..? Also, don't take a whole lot of merit in media articles. Sure, some of them are on, but I have seen too many claim "pit bull" and the dog was a lab. Lol.

Don't forget, in media releases there are often Getty images used and not actual photos of the dog in question.

Just because I can't show you her ped, doesn't mean I have no proof. I have seen both of her parents paperwork. So, I don't see how this is at all relevant. I never said that if a dog doesn't have papers, it can't be called what it looks like. (Within reason of proper knowledge.) Stop pegging me with that label, as I've said already that that isn't me. You want to go to the GameDog forum for that.

Pit bull type? Yes. APBT's? Who knows.

What makes them pit bull types as opposed to these non-pit bull types being called pit bulls? Pit bull being the short hand of APBT.

What breeds are and are not included in this general statement? Any and all bulldogs? Any and all bull & terriers? Just APBT and mixes there of?

Pit bull, as I said, is general public generic for any dog with even a similar bulldog structure.

If we are using pit bull in this conversation as APBT, then I would say I don't know whether or not they are that.
