Default Ew ew ew ew!

There is a dead mouse on my front porch and I am terrified of it. What do I do with it? It's sooo gross. I'm guessing I need to bag it up and put it in the dumpster?

Bag turned inside out just like you would poop. Wash your hands after.

Are you scared of it because you're afraid that it will suddenly reanimate? Zombie mouse!

Agree - bag turned inside out and toss it away. Either that or a dustpan/broom combo.

YES! Or it will give me diseases. And I hate mice.

The thought of having to touch it even through a bag leaves me feeling sick. I even had a hard time walking past it because I thought it might touch me lol. I'm really not very good when it comes to small dead animals. Even when my betta died... seriously grossed me out.

I used to make my roomies deal with any dead non-bugs. That was the deal. I'd take care of the arachnids and they'd deal with any mice/lizards.

Do you have a shovel or scoop of some kind? Scoop it up with the shovel... carefully. We had a baby squirrel die on our porch a few years back and instead of disposing of it my dad just told me about it so Auggie wouldn't go out there and eat it. I had to dispose of it. I used the little spade that we used to scoop poop and it was horrifying because I was afraid of accidentally scooping it up and flipping it onto myself and there's more to it but it's gross so I'm not sharing. X_X Yeah, I wouldn't want to touch it even though a bag either. urgh.

I can't touch dead things. Ick. I feel bad for you. I'd get a broom and sweep it away on the lawn till I found some one to pick it up for me! Thankfully my family will pick up dead things for me and throw them away.

What I don't get is that I'm FINE around large dead animals. It's just small ones that freak me out. I had no problem helping load up a dead deer or going to see them clean it. No problems dissecting a cat.

But a dead mouse? Omg. I want to throw up. Or the time Summer brought me a dead lizard? *gag*

I'm even afraid to sweep or scoop it up. I think I'll get a shovel or something...

I don't like to touch dead animals, either. I recently killed a mouse in my kitchen silverware drawer. First I poked it to make sure it was dead, then I put on yellow kitchen gloves, then put it in a poop bag careful to only touch the sides of the mousetrap. Yuk!

Glove hands in dish gloves >
get thick poopbags/grocery bags and double them inside out >
pick up carcass and wrap thoroughly >
dispose in appropriate place >
wash hands with antiseptic soap.
