Personally I don't see the issue. Even people who say they wouldn't do it because they don't want to deal with human waste need to realize that when you have a blow out and it gets all over the clothes, sheets, and so on that you will be dealing with it any way. And in a similar fashion. You will need to not only clean off your child but also rinse off the clothes they were in and if they were in their crip at the time, stoller or so on you will need to clean those too. And I dealt with more blow outs with disposables then with cloth.

It is a personal decision. Just as choosing to formula feed or breast feed is a personal decision. I have no issue with it. I know either way I go I will have to deal with the mess any way. So I am not bothered by it. Just as cleaning up puke doesn't bother me but for my partner he litterally gets ill just cleaning up after one of the dogs or cats puking. So it is all in what a person is comfortable with. I like it because it saves money, not really much more work for me and yes they are so cute. Others may choose differently for their own personal reasons. NEITHER side should be made to feel guilty or disgusting for their choice.

Agreed Nicole.

I must admit. I can help but feel a smug glow when I know I'm doing my part to be green though.

I wouldn***8217;t say cloth vs. disposable diapers equates to breast vs. bottle. Though I agree on not attacking each other over choices.
However, I can honestly say that providing breastmilk for my premature babies was very much a life or death type decision for me. I don***8217;t think what they wore on their butts mattered that much.

Oh I agree. Personally I will always breast feed but I also will not give people guilt trips or try to make them feel bad for choosing to formula feed. Which is why I used it as an example. I have known women that just could not do it for many reasons, some medical, some just because they could not produce enough and so on. And when people would attack them for formula feeding they would feel so bad about it. We don't always know the reasons for peoples choices so why try and make them feel disgusting or guilty for which ever way they choose to go.

I would use cloth diapers waaaaay before I would use reusable feminine products.....

I also don't think I could get used cloth diapers. I have a thing with certain used clothing--no used underwear or socks-no matter how much bleach is used.

I wanted to, but then we got twins and I just didn't want to deal with the extra laundry (I hate doing laundry). I'm glad we didn't because our apartment didn't have washing machines and it would have added fast at $3.50 a load.

Sometimes it is not about CHOOSING to formula feed, but simply choosing TO FEED your baby. I will choose formula any day over having a baby that won't grow or gain weight because I do not make enough milk combined with the fact that my babies would rather sleep than nurse, and yes I tried pumping only to get a couple drops in 10 minutes. Sorry that I will always choose MY BABY's health before what the world says is best for EVERYONE. Just like why I had c-sections, because at the time it was less stress on MY BABY. I was more concerned over the health of MY BABY than how long it would take ME to recover.

If you had put in the rest of the post that you quoted from you would have seen where I said that I would not judge because I know women who could not breast feed for medical reasons or could not produce enough milk or so on. So I do agree with you.
