Doggie picture
Hi! How do you get a picture next to your name? I tried to put one on and it won't let me.?

It's called an avatar.
It's really very simple...How to get one: Type in "FREE AVATARS" in a search engine and look for one you like, and get the URL or save it on your computer How to put one in next to your name: Go to "User CP" and click on "Edit Avatar", then either type in the URL or browse it on your computer I hope this helps. If you didn't get it I can explain it so it's easier to understand.

It won't let me have an avatar, when I click on Edit Avatar it's got an option that says, Do Not Have an Avatar and it's the only option. I can't unmark that option and there's not a field where I can put an URL or upload a picture.

Hi Blondie,
Hmmm... I checked everything and it should work fine. Try logging into the forum using your username and password, then clicking on the 'user cp' link on the top blue menu bar. When you reach that web page, it should list an option called 'Edite Avatar' on the left panel. Click on that link and it will give you the options on the right side. Default is usually selected as no avatar is used until you set it up. Select the second radio box and it will allow you to upload an avatar or give the webpage url to one online. Hi Serena and Chazhound, thanks for your recommendations but no, I can't get it to work, it won't let me have an avatar because under that option that says "Don't Have an Avatar" there are no other options!
Show Avatar is activated in the Edit Options area,too What can it be?

I have tried both ways
from the User CP-> Edit Avatar and from Quick Links -> Edit Avatar. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, do you think I should have more posts to be able to do that? Is that what's happening? Thanks for trying to help, Serena
