Default Another "opinion on a dress" thread!

I'm going to an outdoor wedding next month, and bought this dress:

I LOVE it. I wanted something light colored so that I wouldn't roast in the hot Florida sun.

I know that wearing a white to a wedding is generally taboo... but this is okay since it has a pattern, right?

I had two girls wear white or a very close cream (which was actually much closer to my dress!) and I didn't care. But I'm not a usual bride I guess. The colour on this dress I would say is completely okay! I wouldn't even think of it being "white", because there's so much colour on it!

Thanks, girls! The bride is VERY lax and definitely not a bridezilla, so I don't think she'd mind even if it were solid white!

You can always ask the bride! I know I would appreciate the thought.

I wouldn't wear it unless I had a shrug or something that coordinated to bring color to the top of the dress, too.

But I'm paranoid about offending people.

I love it! I would ask the bride first but it has such vibrant color I doubt she will mind.

That! But then I think it would probably defeat the desire to be cooler!

I dunno. I wouldn't have cared if someone wore white to my wedding, but I won't wear anything light colored to someone else's, just in case.
