I let her lay down from when we got home until now... bad idea. Getting her back up was painful for her, and I wouldn't be surprised if AC or the police show up at my house after somebody calls them. Plan is to bug her every hour or so and have her walk around and then switch sides.

She's on the couch now, my dad gave up his spot on the couch for her (seriously, he doesn't give up that spot for ANYBODY. This is huge. LOL) right in front of the A/C, so she's laying all comfy now.
We really have no room for a raised bed.  The bed she has is an orthopedic bed and super comfy (and super in the way as it is) -- she just decided to lay on her bad leg last time.

Can't keep these oldies down. I was terrified when I saw this post though, I am so happy she's doing well. I love that girl.

Thanks! <3 Yah, she's way too energetic for her poor old bones.
My "boss" was going to come give me **** for calling out of work Monday when it happened, something about I should have planned it for the morning, not the afternoon. (Cause we plan emergencies...) However, she decided to tell my dad first, and he ripped her a new one so she was too chicken to come say anything to me, probably cause she knows I would have just walked out. Not sure what all he said.. but "our dog is part of our FAMILY. She's just like a human family member, only better. You do NOT try and tell my daughter that her job is more important than her dog, or you'll learn real fast that NOTHING is more important than that dog." ...when I was asked to come work for them, I told them my pets come first. You think she would have learned
