brindle chow chow
i just wanted to know if anyone else has ever seen one. I got mine from a friend and i looked it up some sites say itll go away and he'll be red. but its been about a year and he still has the brindle look. but he also isnt full chow i dont know what hes mixed with but you can clearly see chow in him he has the purple tongue and other random things plus the way he acts isnt like most chows or other breeds i have owned. he is very layed back and chill but can b very mean if u provoke him.just leave me some feed back if u have ever seen one before or if i just got one of a kind dog. i will upload some more pics later these are just the ones i have in my computer. and also these were taking like right after his hair cut. he has some much fur now.

Nah, that brindle pattern is there to stay. Since you said he isn't full Chow, he likely got his coloring from the other dog in his parentage. A coworker of mine has a Chow mix that looks exactly like your dog, only Bailey doesn't have as thick of a coat.

Looks like he'll stay that way to me. My Xena is a mutt with some Chow in her (Dad was a Chow mix) and she is a full on brindle from a puppy through adult hood (she's 5).

i know the dad is full on chow with papers and the mom is a collie mix with pit i had to ask my friend to find out. my dog has super long hair its not shown in the pic but i also do get his hair cut all the time and he even curls his tail like a chow. and i thank all of u guys for your input ill try to get a good pic of him tomorrow so u can see his tail and stuff.. he get shy around cameras
