I've only owned a few dogs in my life, but of the five...

Blackie. When he was in the prime of his life I wasn't old enough to work with him, and by the time I was able to actually have a dog, he was too old to do things with (although that didn't stop him from doing his best). But my God did I love that dog. He was just...perfect. I always joked that he would be the only man I ever needed. As stupid as it sounds, I really wish Mike was able to meet him, so Blackie could approve. He's been gone two years and thinking about him still makes me cry.
If the next dog I get comes close to filling his paws, I'll be a very happy person.
