Default Urgh, Chaz was right.

Simi started bleeding today.

Man, I hate having intact females. So much for all my trips I have planned for her in the next 4 weeks. We're going to be seriously limited.

What kind of stuff did you have planned? Agility people, unfortunately, are horrified by intact females in my area. But when I was training French Ring I took her to an out of town seminar while she was in heat, no problems at all. Your breeder's IPO group should still be cool to train with.

We were going to go to a "bark in the park" event tomorrow that the SPCA hosts, just to hang out and be around as Psyche is doing an agility demo with me. Then on the 23/24th there's an agility trial I was going to take her to.

But from the 16th to 30th I've got a friend here from Maryland and we're doing lots of dog stuff (hikes, trips to the beach, etc.) and I'm worried about having her out about with the risk of strange dogs. Even with a diaper on.

Oh, that sucks. That's the worst part about having intact females for me. They always seem to come into heat when exactly at the same time that you have all sorts of fun things you want to do with them. I don't mind so much in the winter, but it puts a bit of a damper on summer.

It sucks right out loud! 'Specially where I was really counting on taking her out and about a lot to several new places.

Dunno what we'll do about her agility classes, but I'll figure it out.

Here too. It's insane. They were horrified when they realized I was serious when I asked if Mira could play after class (not even during) wearing undies and in the double-fenced ring...and she wasn't even in standing heat. Danger danger! :P

Sorry about the timing though, that stinks

Ring people are cool though Jen, Pan was in heat when you met her.

Are you guys going for your Brevet?

Yeah, that does suck big time. Try to look at it in a positive light though.....it'll give you that much longer to really work on focus and fun stuff at home with no pressure before bringing it on the road, then she should be that much better when you do!
