So this is me sitting here with a dog hanging off my pants and brain storming some games to play with Didgie. So trusty Chaz, ideas? I'm just looking for fun little puppy activities to do, bonding wise, environment wise, thinking wise and just plain old fun wise.

She's more independent so far than Traveler was (I know, I know...girls) but she's also not going to ever get as much one on one time as Traveler did growing up since for the most part it was just him and me. So I want some fun ideas for the times we are one on one to make them count a bit more.

Since she loves tug, play tug EVERYWHERE. By loud trucks, by a pond, at an agility trial, at the playground, everywhere!

Agree with tugging. Also do hand touches. Shape whatever the heck you feel like... you can do perch work, any and all kinds of targeting with her paws.

Yes!! I need to do this! I've been doing it when we go out but I need to do it a little more often

On it! We've got a nice nose touch in the works, she'll come towards it to poke/bite. And we're working on freeshaping a perch on something right now. Got a consistant nose poke/laying head down on it with the hint of front paws coming into play.

Crate games, crate games, crate games. Especially for the high drive potential sport dogs. It's been a life saver with Gusto in agility. You can see his little brain click when he is on the table or a start line and thinks "Oh, I know this game already".

Free shaping everything, like Beanie said. Although we are discovering the hazards of clever, smart alec free shaped puppies in our competition puppy class (101 Things To Do With a Jump Bar, anyone?).

Ahahahaha it is fun sometimes isn't it? I'm working on Payton's heel work a bit because he's in a rally-o trial next month. He got out of heel so I just stopped to wait for him to get back in. Cue Payton running away from me to bounce on every piece of furniture in his line of sight, come back, go bounce on it again, still not it? Go grab a toy out of the toy box, go grab another, do a pivot, hit the furniture again, still not it?? I'LL KEEP TRYING

I find it hysterical. My trainer has stopped even setting bars for me. If I stand at the start line for a moment to talk about something, he starts offering everything he can imagine with the jump bar. He puts his mouth on it. He puts his front feet on it. He walks under it. He bumps it with his chest. He (tries) to swing his hind legs over it. And the harder we all laugh, the cooler he thinks he is!
