I use Avené primer & foundation for sensitive skin. My skin is prone to acne, and since I've started using the products, my skin has become totally clear!

I use Bare Minerals and love it! I am very prone to breaking out and notice that my skin is actually better since using it. You can get the starter kit for ~$60, which includes primer, foundation, mineral veil, bronzer, blush, and three great brushes as well as a DVD with application tips. It's an insanely great deal and lasts a long time, at least it did for me!

When I haven't been able to get Bare Minerals I've also tried Pur Minerals and Smashbox foundation (as well as a lot of other cheaper brands) and I haven't found anything I like nearly as much.

I use i.d. bare minerals, and I love it, it never causes irritation to my skin and blends really nicely.

It's expensive, but worth it. I use their blushes and their warmth for a bronzer. Mineral veil is probably mostly cornstarch but it's the smoothest matte powder ever, and I often just wear a dusting of mineral veil and a touch of bronzer or blush.

Right now I'm using Neutrogena's Healthy Skin and I'm really happy so far. Only been using it a week. Before that I was using cheap (really cheap...) NYC foundation and it actually worked really well! It was water based which there used to be a higher end product that was water based but they quit making it... buildable coverage without getting caked on... honestly even though it was less than $3 a bottle it was a very good product. I broke up really badly last month with all the stress though and I'm trying to get my skin back under control, so I switched to Neutrogena instead just because I feel like I need something higher quality right now. I may go back to the cheap stuff once my skin settles down. =P
I also bought some Maybelline stuff and didn't like it nearly as much as the NYC stuff. My powder I think is still NYC (again, reeeeally cheap, but does the job of setting my foundation and erasing shine!)

My concealer is Boi-ing by Benefit Cosmetics. I've been using it for a few years now and I love it... no interest in trying anything else.

I've just bought neutrogena concealer and I like it a lot so far. I've tried prescriptives and liked it ok. I've tried a lot of the cheaper drug store type stuff. Lately I've been using benefit and it's just kind of so-so. Doesn't blend well with my skin but it does cover well.

I get acne a lot need something heavy duty enough to cover it without causing me to break out more. Most things seem to make me break out more.

A friend recommended a brand from sephora but I cannot for the life of me remember what it was called now.

NARS, Make Up Forever, and Smashbox are pretty popular Sephora brands. Urban Decay too. I tried some Make Up Forever foundation and ended up taking it back... for what I paid for it, the coverage just wasn't that good. I looked at a few different concealers too, but nothing really seemed a very good match for my skin except the Boi-ing and I think Tarte may have one now that is a good match, but I've not tried it because the Boi-ing has worked so well. It's surprising but drug store products tend to be able to match my skin more than when I've gone looking at the higher end stuff in Sephora...

I have the boi-ing concealer and it covers well but is just ever so slightly too orange for my skin tone.

I think it was make up forever that she suggested. It's so expensive though so I would need it to be really good to drop that kind of money on it.

I have sensitive skin, made dry by this terrible climate, so I've tried just about everything I can find. Here's what I've seen in drugstore/Walmart/Target....

I used CoverGirl's NatureLuxe for a while. Odd shades, but it was medium coverage and didn't break me out. I have really dry skin, though, and it was a very dry foundation. Their pressed and loose powders don't do anything for me. Even their lightest shade isn't light enough. Their Aqua line isn't bad. I'm trying it out here and there, but it has broken me out in the past.

You can find Elf at Target. Their HD Foundation and Powder is $6 each. Not terribly bad, but some people have said it breaks them out. Their primer also breaks me out. But REALLY REALLY cheap make-up! And I don't mean cheap is a bad thing. I have all their eyeshadow palettes, I've tried their lip products, and you can't beat $1 for some brushes, although I like the $3 line much better.

Neutrogena's Healthy Skin has a higher SPF, so it causes white casts in photos. Good coverage, smooth and easy to apply. But broke me and 90% of the make-up wearing population out, though.

Revlon's Colorstay Pressed Powder is AMAZING. I LOVE IT. If I didn't have dry skin, that is all I would wear. I'm trying out their liquid foundation now. The Photoready foundation has sparkly bits in it. Their AgeRewind sucks, stinks, and streaks.

Maybelline FitME is terrible. Streaky, light coverage. I liked their AgeRewind in the past because it was medium to full coverage, went on smooth, blended well, all good things.

Hard Candy's Glamoflauge (at Walmart) is the BEST concealer. It will cover anything and everything, and you only use a TINY dot to cover a large area. It is used to cover tattoos, so, go figure! Only issue is that is is very heavy, so you need a good powder to set and a good foundation to go under it. Otherwise, it gets oily and cakey easy.

I.D. Minerals aren't really that great for you. And personally, they made my face BURN. It looked like I had a sunburn for days afterwards. I couldn't even make it through the day, I had to wash it off. Apparently, that isn't uncommon. It's the only "high end" make up I've tried before.

Is there something icky in the mineral makeup? Mine's never made my face burn but the blush does make me itch. Still, for no breakouts I'll deal with itchy cheeks.

Neutrogena makes a tinted moisturizer that I absolutely adore. It's just a basic tinted sunblock moisturizer and it just makes my skin glow without caking on makeup.

I'm a big fan of Urban Decay. But I haven't tried other brands so I don't know how it compares... I just know that I don't have a reason to try something else.
