I have and will, but I'm going into academics, so it is a little different. I currently have a BA in English, and an MA in Folklore. I'm published and have done some public work outside of academia using both degrees. I'm currently in a dual PhD degree for anthropology and folklore and will almost for sure be using my degrees.

Errrr.... I have a degree in zoology and a degree in social work. I'm a social worker
![]() That being said, the degree did not prepare me for the job. I can't remember much of my zoology degree now, but did find my notes recently so plan to reread them. It was 12 yrs ago (zomg that makes me feel old )

Not the major-specific classes (I have an animal science degree and completed the pre-vet requirements), but the heavy science background with the focus on lab sciences, yes.

I have a degree in education so while I currently use that on a daily basis, I don't use the license I also have which is making keeping my license up to date a lot more difficult.

I work in customer service/logistics so no, my business admin/management degree isn't really being used. But that's OK, I don't really want to manage people right now.

Yup, I have a bachelor's in Clinical Laboratory Sciences and that helped me to take my ASCP certification test and I am currently a Medical Technologist.

Not at all. And it sucks because I would really like to have a job where I get to use at least SOME of the stuff I went to school for.

YES.
My undergrad is in information systems. It's basically a degree in how to design massive computer systems and reports, and I used it every day in my job as an IT consultant. The degree was an absolute perfect match for my daily job. Then I went and got a masters in secondary math education. As an algebra teacher, I use it daily as well. Surprisingly, I find a lot of applicability from my first job too. Not the hard skills (programming, networking, etc), but the soft skills of project design, data comparison, analysis, etc. |
