I only do it with salmon or trout and just until the fish is warm, not steaming hot. I also take home what I don't eat and use my own garbage at home for disposal.

There was a guy I once worked with that would periodically bring in smoked herring for lunch and microwave it. The lunchroom would clear out almost instantly and you just hoped that you weren't the unlucky soul who got to use the microwave after him!

I voted that people can put up with it - but I don't actually microwave fish. Leftover fish sounds gross.

I must be pretty lucky because these kind of smells don't bother me... in fact they make me jealous lol.

However, it's funny - I usually eat leftovers cold. Because that's how I like to eat left overs. Except for curry and spaghetti bolognese... but I haven't ever bought these to work.

My husband does too! I pack his lunch in a thermal lunch box and he never uses the break room fridge or microwave However it comes out of his lunch box is how he consumes it! Warm drink (if I put a can of soda or juice in) and cold food.......he's so weird! LOL (sorry, I guess that means you are too Catsi, hahahaha)

i had a roomate in college that also had a lot of classes with me, and he'd crack a can of tuna weekly in large lecture halls on hot steamy days so he could get his protein. People wanted to kill him

I don't even bring tuna sandwiches or even overly garlicky things to work because i don't want to have an offensive smell lol.

I was thinking this exact thought last week when someone microwaved their fish lunch at work...bleeeehhh. As a non-fish/seafood eater, the smell really made my stomach turn. She also has a tendency to bring in SUPER garlicky food.

To each their own I suppose, but ugh, fish smell...bleh.

It's not. No. No.

It's also not polite, dear coworker, to always, always, always severely burn your popcorn. Yuck! It smells so nasty. Every. Darn. Day. Adjust the time, it's not that hard!
