Do you talk to children like they're dogs?

I've been noticing I do this a lot with toddlers.
"Come here! Come on!" *whistle* *pats knee*
"Ah ah, leave it."
"Gooooood girl!"

Please tell me I'm not the only one!

Nope, I do it all the time. Seems to make things easier when you treat them like dogs instead of human beings. Leash and collar included. And they just LOVE to sit for treats!

Yeah, guilty... I find myself saying 'ouch!' and turning my back on my nephew if he starts playing too rough.

Yes, except I don't like kids very much so mostly it's me snapping "NO!" and "LEAVE it!"

LOL, sometimes I do.

When I was eating lunch with someone from my church, she told me very seriously that when I have kids I WILL treat/talk to them like I talk to Harleigh, lol. She knows this because she has a Yorkie who is her first baby and she is all the time talking to Parker (son) like she does to Holly (Yorkie)
